These terms cover your use of the Talent Toolbox website at talenttoolbox.ca. Talent Toolbox is the practice of Alison Yarwood, based in Calgary, Alberta. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use it.
What this site is
This is an informational site for a fractional Talent practice. It explains the work I do, publishes the Talent Toolbox Framework and free assessments, and shares articles, field notes and tools. You can also use it to get in touch.
Nothing here is professional advice
Everything on this site is general information and education. It is not advice about your specific situation, and it is not legal, employment or HR advice. Using the site, taking an assessment or reading a resource does not create a client or advisory relationship between us.
Any engagement I take on is set out in a separate written agreement. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement governs the work.
The assessments
The assessments are free, run entirely in your browser, and are made for reflection. They do not produce a score, and a result describes what you told me rather than standing as a professional assessment, a diagnosis or a recommendation. The decisions about your organization or your career remain yours.
Content and the Framework
The words, design, brand and graphics on this site belong to Talent Toolbox unless noted otherwise. The Talent Toolbox Frameworkis published so you can use it: it is free to cite and reuse with attribution to Talent Toolbox. Beyond that, please do not copy, republish or resell the site’s content without permission.
What you send me
When you book a call, share a testimonial or suggest a topic, please give accurate information, and only your own. A testimonial is published only after I have reviewed it and with your consent, and I may lightly edit it for length or clarity without changing its meaning. How I handle what you send is set out in the privacy policy.
Using the site fairly
Please use the site as it is intended. Do not try to disrupt it, break its security, collect data from it at scale, or use it to mislead others or to post anything unlawful.
Other services and links
The site is hosted by Vercel and uses PostHog for analytics, and it links out to places such as LinkedIn. I am not responsible for the content or the practices of sites I link to. What each service handles is described in the privacy policy.
Availability
I keep the site running and accurate as best I can, but I provide it as it is. I cannot promise it will always be available, free of errors or fully up to date, and I may change or remove content at any time.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Talent Toolbox is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or your reliance on its general information. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum the law permits.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here is always the current one.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Alberta.
